Got my premium antelope tag but missed on the archery mule deer I was trying to do with my best bud. So curious how the new deer system shook out.

I still got the archery mule deer area I hunt as a 2nd choice. I always got it 2nd choice before, but wasn't sure if I'd still be able to with the new areas

Kids got their youth antlerless elk and deer tags! No rifle mule deer for me... will be able to plan better next year, once 2026 application data is in the books.

Feeling pretty lucky today - I pulled one of the top antelope tags in the random draw with 4 preference points

Think it normally takes 22+ points to be 100% draw.

Congrats. I have a pretty good educated guess on the unit. I have about 4 more years hopefully and I will get it. My buddy pulled it on random draw 2 years ago.

We had a 9 point average, so it really wasn’t a surprise. But with them changing the units this year we didn’t know what would happen.

Buddy got a 14+ point deer unit with 4 points. I’m pretty excited for him. I got my second choice deer tag, nothing extra for me.

Oh nice, I didn't realize they released the spreadsheets at the same time. I figured it was after the fact.

I'm a late onset hunter and luckily drew my first buck tag this year in one of the new units. Will be my first solo hunt, so looking forward to learning a lot and being disappointed!

Also had a friend of a friend pony up a bunch of points to get us a party bull tag. Really looking forward to this season.
