Might be worth hitting up the chukar hunting forums and that route to see what they have been seeing. As you know mule deer are in a terrible state right now in Oregon. Did a recorded talk with the states leading biologist on this. Really interesting. Can share if you're interested.

I’ve hunted there off and on for years. Hunted it this year and it was depressing how few deer were around. But never been there that time of the year. My guess is as the rut heats up the big boys magically appear out of the sage. How many points did it take you? Good luck and keep us posted!
