What's everyone's favorite muzzle loader. these things range in price all over and looking to get more opportunity's to hunt. in Oregon you can get a lot of tags in a muzzle loader hunt otherwise would take years to draw. trying to maximize as much as I can while time and health is on my side.

If I’m reading Oregons regs correctly, they require iron sights, full bore lead conicals/balls, and percussion cap ignition.

Not too many good choices that meet those regs. If it were me, I’d find a nice used White rifle. They were designed around those requirements. Or a TC Hawken or Renegade.

I have killed a couple elk in Oregon with a Knight mountaineer muzzleloader and western ignition. Lead conicals, black powder, and #11 caps.

We use three different knights all the NW legal shooting #11 with Williams rear peeps and either factory fiber optics or the western precision with a fiber insert.

No Excuse 460 grains lead conicals. 80-90 grains of T7. This combo has killed 9 blacktails
