Wanted to shed some light on who I am. Been reading the forum for a year now. There was a thread on arrow placement that totally changed my idea on how to kill an elk. Luckily I hadn't had the opportunity yet.
Anyway, I'm a public school teacher, one of my courses is an Outdoor Living elective where I get to teach kids how to respect the outdoors, as well as play at survival through hands on projects and the like.
I've been successful at rifle hunting and this past year took my first elk with a bow. Duck hunting is also a life long pursuit which I work at.
Had a student ask once if I played an instrument, "Sure, quite a few actually!" She was so excited... Until I listed them off "goose flute and short reed, double and single reed duck, elk diagram, even a grunt tube if I'm in a bind." She walked away shaking her head
