Headed over to Catherine Creek area next weekend, looking forward to it
Your trip should be timed well then. The SW has good amounts of bears, just alot of small ones(like Labrador size). If I hadn't moved farther North I'd probably still be getting the SW tag every year.I'm still a couple weeks out from my hunt, had to pick timing based on work and home life.....hopefully things pick up a little by then!
I really just want to get a bear on the ground, but labrador size is pretty damn small!!! Hoping for more like a St Bernard at least!Your trip should be timed well then. The two I saw yesterday, one appeared large Labrador size. The other St. Bernard+.I really just want to get a bear on the ground, but labrador size is pretty damn small!!! Hoping for more like a St Bernard at least!
Haha...maybe I'll get lucky and find one that's actually bear sized! The two I saw yesterday, one appeared large Labrador size. The other St. Bernard+.
I bet if you do shoot a bear, it will, 100% guaranteed, be the size of a bear!!! Good luck!Haha...maybe I'll get lucky and find one that's actually bear sized!
Whelp, I got a tag for South Central, but this is my first year doing this so more of a learning experience, really. If I connect, it will be due to sheer luck <g>.Who is spring bear hunting?
Congrats man!
That’s a nice bear.Nice work guys. It's been slow but still seeing few here in the NE corner. Let this guy walk the other day.
Ya, he was a pretty good one. I'm not an expert. I think he's a solid boar right at the beginning of his prime. I've killed a few decent bears over the years but never really big one. I have a lot of time this year so I'm holding out. That’s a nice bear.
Great work!!!
