Orange and white spots in meat and fat

Got a black bear in Prince William Sound last night and he had these orange spots on his fat and all the meat had white spots through it. Wanted to see if yall knew anything about that, never seen it.

My guess is Trichinosis / Trichinella or other parasite. Do you have a state wildlife biologist in your area?

Parasites assumed. Haven't heard from. Biologist but the fact no ones been like yeah I've seen that is unexpected

you do not see trichinosis with eyes... i will contact a biologist as well and offer to give them some sample of meat and fat if they want to study it.

but i never seen that kind of color in the bear meat.

State Vet said the white spots is Sarcocystis and the orange spots "Multifocal random infection, could be bacterial, parasite migration or fat necrosis". No further info than that...

I definitely wouldn't be excited to eat it.

Cook it medium rare, your mother in law will love it.
