I ran the option 8 with 4 fixed and the mover last season. It is the best sight I have owned. (spott hogs, bg, hha, sword) I could get 117 from 26.5dl at 290fps... The only down fall of the sight imo is the 2nd axis adjustment. But I have set up so many of them now that its not bad, just very finicky. Plus side also is that you are buying a sight from Dan Evans who is one of the greatest guys in the industry... Also I ran a 1/4 peep and the top and bottom of the housing aligned perfect. That was something that scared me about the oval housing..

Thank you for that.
Yes, I ordered it with 5 + the floater, all .019. They are out of stock on the Platinum Version in Left hand in the 8 pin frame. Ron at S&S was in contact with me in like 5 minutes after I placed the order. You can not put a price tag on service like that. He explained to me that while they did have the Regular 8 pin in stock he strongly recommended going with the Platinum version especially since it will be bounced around in my Ranger and riding in my backpack. Again, I can not say how mush I appreciated HONESTY in a Pro shop whether it be for Marlin Fishing or Archery, their are just to many "Yep, that will get em" shops out their. Thank again for your take on this sight. It just solidifies I made the right choice.

I just ordered an Option 4 Platinum. I'm pretty excited to get it all dialed in. I just hope I didn't make a mistake going with the smaller housing.

I'm about ready to pull the pin on mine! I think I made up my mind of going with the bigger oval housing! With a .19 on all pins including the slider! Now I just have to wait for S and S to get a custom right hand oval in stock

Never heard of one rattling. I ran the Option 8 all last season and plan to again this year. ZERO complaints. Like everything else Dan Evans builds, they are bomb proof. All metal and precisely manufactured.
I have one in the Platinum and one standard. Both work flawlessly.

Does your option sight rattle? Any issues with durability? I was about to pull the trigger on one and then spoke to someone who had theirs rattle and come apart in the first season of use.

I am curious if it is a pervasive issue or a lemon sight.

I am not a bow mechanic so leaning towards a more proven single pin design like the spot Hogg rather than take a chance on something that still has a few kinks in it.

Hey guys,
Just found out that we now have the larger housing available for the RH Platinum sight.

Option Sight Platinum | Bow Sight | S&S Archery

Also i can do the larger housing on the standard Option sight, but only in the LH model. PM me if you're interested in the LH model, as ill have to do the order manually.

Thanks for all your support and let me know if you have any questions!

I run an option 8, with 6 pins (5 fixed and I have my mover set at 70). It has been bomb proof so far with no rattling of any kind. I had a 1/4 inch peep for a while then switched to an oval peep I got from option archery, still not sure which one I like better though.

I'm trying to decide between the 6 and 8. I am concerned about the oval v round. Anyone else have any thoughts on lining up the round peep with the oval sight housing?

Wannahuntmo just regarding that you are thinking about the 8 housing... looks like everywhere is sold out of the 8 housing RH standard.. they do have premium.. just FYI so you can put all this into consideration before you try and pull the pin
