Buy a leupold and if want to change reticle or customize later you have the option through the custom shop you can get a great scope for $300-400 and will never have to mess with it.

3x9 leupold or vortex is what I would run

So I have the same rifle but in a 308 and I put a leupold vx hd6 cds-zl2 2-12x42. it was pricey but it has been well worth the money. The customizable turret option they have with this line of scopes is pretty neat. no more having to set there and figure your crap out if you don't want to.

I think you will be happy with that scope. Ive always had great luck with leupolds.

my dad has always said go big the first time and don't mess with it. if you can I guess. if the scope works great then I never would change it unless your hunting environment changes. it is all shot placement and practice anyways. well most of it that is. leupold makes great product. Swaros are good to but really high and I have a few zeiss scopes that are good.
