The idea is awesome, the implementation could just use a little refining and it could be THE perfect digiscoping adapter.

#1 I think leaving the extrusion for the magnet in the phone adapter solid on the outside and placing the magnet into channel from the inside would be ideal. Then you add the adhesive over the magnet opening and attach to phone there is no issue with the magnet being able to pop out and potentially get lost in the field.

#2 Having the scope adapter screw into the body instead of the 4 post twist lock would create a solid interface with no play in it. Mine has the tiniest bit of play where it locks into the body.

#3 A little refining of the spring fingers, or making the scope adapter just a little longer to capture a little more of the magnification body for scopes with the adjustable eye cup.

Those little things would definitely set the OnGlass adapter over the edge in usability. It really has the concept to be perfect. It is not all doom and gloom, and I hope I didn't make it sound that way.
I agree on the spacers. Especially having a wider range of optics that fit for $85. For example my ATS is one size smaller than my ATX. Then I need another spacer for my 11-33 razor. By the time I buy all three I’m at $155 for 3d printed plastic that doesn’t clamp on like a magview.

The alignment was very easy to do. I also like how small everything is and light. These are big pluses to me.

I think with some refining this could be a really great option at a very good price point. For the time being I have made rubber bands work to use one spacer for both the ATS and the ATX.

Maybe a light 3d printed version of a clamp like this that is more versatile and solid.

I got mine, and will make a MagSafe adapter for my iPhone. Probably cut a piece of Kydex and use some small rare earth magnets and cut/glue in the stick on adapter.

If I have problems with the fingers, I will try something like moleskin or another tape with thickness. Add it to a few on one side, and keep going around until it fits like I want.

I am thinking of looking for a o ring or something else that would be more than the rubber band. Maybe that would be better if the fit is close.

Either way, looks like a cool system.

Any more feedback on the On Glass setup? Thinking about getting one for my little Kowa.

I am still enjoying mine… sure, the Ollin may be better if they happen to make one for your model of optic but for the optics I have it works great!👍

Glad to hear it! I just returned an Ollin. It was very well made and fast but I decided a dedicated bulky case was not for me.

Ok, received mine and I will update.

It goes without saying, love supporting a veteran and things made in USA (let alone in Idaho where I live).

Initial impressions are not great. It will work after I do a little work on it. First off the magnet on the phone adapter was not glued in. There is a plastic cover that goes over the magnet and plastic magnet "inlet" that was glued around the edges but that popped off and the magnet popped out with it after the 3rd time I attached it to the spotting scope adapter. I will reglue all that and it will be fine.

The spotting scope adapter is not a great fit on a Gen 1 Razor 16-48x65. Arguably one of the most popular spotting scopes of all time. The spring fingers are basically the opposite of how they probably should be for a snug fit. Has to do with the eye cup thickness (all the way in) and it being a loose fit inside the adapter. When I push it all the way on tight its solid, but it's only held by less than probably 1mm of the mag-body and pops off very easily. Still usable but definitely not ideal. If the spring fingers were the opposite direction it would work perfectly. (This is with the rubber band on the spring fingers if anyone is wondering).

All in all it will work. It's super light and convenient. I think it's a little pricey, but wouldn't be as irritated if there weren't these quirks.
Was this with the new 2.0? I am looking into this setup but have that exact spotter. I have the scope cam adapter right now and it’s ok. It just doesn’t stay put very well.

It was. I do run the eye cup all the way down (glasses). It works ok. Just have to make sure it's pushed tight as possible to the face of the eyecup. It just barely contacts the mag body and makes it feel like it wants to pop off. If you back out the eye cup at all you will have zero issues.

Old thread, but grateful for rokslide in instances like this.

Looking to get away from the mainstream ones….
I hate that I have to buy a new phone case every two years; then wonder where it is all the time!

Any issues you've found with the Scope Cam adapter? I'm currently on the fence between these two.
I have only used it at the range not “out in the field”. It is ok. I have found it has a tendency to get loose and rotate around the lense so the phone/camera is at an angle and I worry about that in field conditions. Not a huge problem when spotting shots but when quickness would be an issue I am not sure I trust it. It is handy that you can use it with basically any spotter or binos.

This is in reference to the Scope cam right? Not the on glass?

I use the Scope Cam and don't have any issue with it staying secure. I've used it on two different pairs of binoculars and three different spotting scopes without issue. I love that it's universal. It takes a bit longer to set up than say an Ollin, but the versatility is worth it to me and it's way quicker to set up than the Novagrade I used before I got the Scope Cam. Some of it is just practice, you get better using it the more you use it.

One tip with the Scope Cam, twist the eyecup all the way in before attaching the adapter.
1. It's a better image the closer you get your camera to the lens.
2. Some eyecups can twist with the weight of the phone if you don't have them all the way in.

Thanks for sharing, been trying to figure out which adapter to go with and was torn between a few but this one was off my radar and looks to check all the boxes- plus this is exactly the kind of business I like to support. Ordered one this morning, looking forward to trying it out.
