Previous long shot was a marmot at 1402 yards. Custom 7 mag shooting 180 Berger HVLD’s. Couldn’t quite make a mile. 10 years down the road I’m shooting a 300 Norma improved and getting 3030 fps with 245 Berger EOL’s. I have a mile range at the ranch to practice on. Decided this was the year then had rotator cuff surgery so it didn’t look promising. Last month I felt I could handle the gun and had done a little shooting with it so went out to give it a try. It took a few shots and waiting for the wind to get steady and got one at 1840 yards.
