1-2 days before I leave on a trip I do the same thing. Especially if it's a hunting trip.
My mind is already on VAC and not focused on work duties.

Unfortunately didn’t draw and I didn’t bring my bow back to SD to work from MO last week and got a surprise 5 days off so we’re headed to glacier national park and it’s pretty depressing seeing all the trucks loaded headed in to hunt. My Kentucky tag isn’t until October.

Try trolling to pass the time! Pick a random unit/tag and post asking for help with the tag you drew, but forgot to research or scout. Or ask which pack is better in the gear forum.

I think my best bet would be an antelope with a brush guard from Walmart at this point. I think I’ve seen a bow there before but idr. Her college teammate came for vacation and she said we got a rental car and leaving in the morning. I have my pack, clothes, jetboil, Tent, mtn house, sleeping bag and pad so I’m set otherwise.

I leave tomorrow for our elk hunt as well but today was the day from hell. The universe must know that I won't be working for 14 days so it should get even with me...
