Hey there. Have saved up some 6.5cm brass thinking maybe I'd make the jump into reloading. Decided to hold off for now and sell the brass I currently have on hand. I've never sold used brass before and just wanted to get a more informed perspective on what I should be charging per cartridge?

I have two 6ish lb bags (estimating around 300 cartridges per bag) - all is once fired. one bag is all 143gr Hornady ELDX, the other is a mix of 140gr S&B FMJBT and 140gr SIG Elite Match Grade.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I recently saw Peterson once fired brass going for around $0.43 per piece (on unknown munitions website) but the brass you have listed isn't quite Peterson quality so I would assume maybe around 25 to 35 cents for hornady, 20 to 30 cents for sig brass and I personally don't know anyone that would want the s&b but you never know??

There is some Hornady head stamp up for auction right now and its at $46 plus 9.95 shipping for 100ea. Sig brass new is $0.69, so I imagine you could get ~$0.40-0.45 for those. S&B seems to have lovers and haters, so probably not going to get much for them. So you probably end up with $200+ for it.

600x0.25 = $150
600x0.30 = $180
600x0.35 = $210

$100/bag seems reasonable. Maybe $100 shipped?

are you gonna try and squeeze out the last cent or just get rid of it?

Thanks all, really appreciate the input. I was planning to shoot for around the .40 mark. Definently not trying to milk every last penny out of it. I can always adjust if no one ends up biting. Thanks again.

I am in a similar boat as i have an accumulation of once fired brass that I have collected with the intention of reloading one day but now with kids that chance is 0... I have once fired brass for;

270 win
3006
300 Win Mag
6.5-300 Wby Mag
6.5 CM
280 AI

PM if you are interested in a cartridge and ill give you a breakdown on what i have for that brass. All will be predominantly Federal zinc plated, Nosler, and Hornaday. 6.5-300 is all Wby brass

Not looking to make much money just want it to finally be put to use. Shoot me a PM with your offer and cover shipping and its yours.

I'll post this in classifieds when I get the chance but I've got a bunch of 28 nosler casings if anyone has interest
320 casings once fired 28 nosler nosler brass and 40 federal once fired 28 nosler brass: considerably cheaper than what's available

The more common calibers (cases) typically don’t bring as much just because it’s around, guys get it at ranges, etc. The harder to find stuff, like PRC, 6.5-300 and so forth will go for an extra .25-.50 cents. Like all things for sale the better you price it the quicker it ll be taken. You ask top of market price for once fired and it ll take longer to sell or you ll be babysitting it and possibly marking it down.

Depends on how much time you want to devote for an extra $20-$30 bucks.

Good Luck however you proceed.

Also meant to say if you ve got Peterson , ADG or Lapua then that prices higher than Rem, WW, Hornady, etc.

Yeah agreed. I'm more trying to get rid of it so definitely not looking for top dollar.
