I have seen and read so many great things on the tikka and have been missing the t3 300wsm I had a few years back...Couldn't take it any longer - so I am officially back on the Tikka Bandwagon.

Ordered up a T3X Lite stainless 270 wsm from Whittakers (hundreds cheaper than local even with shipping). Next stop was Stocky Stocks were they had a sako classic in olive swirl for the T3. (Sako Classic is my favorite mcmillan pattern) Lastly is optics - found a demo model NF NXS 2.5-10X42, going to put in in talley ringmounts.

Spent a little coin today - but I think I will have one heck of a shooting, lightweight, longer range gun. This setup has intrigued me for a while and I figured it was time to go all in!

Going to play with 145 grain hornady eld x and 140 accubonds

That sounds like a kickass setup for sure. Tough to beat a Tikka!

Almost bought one yesterday, local store has the T3 for $329+tax. Might go back in a few weeks and buy a 243 for a truck gun.

I recently grabbed a t3x super lite in 270 myself, Its not replacing my other rifles and Im not sure yet if ill be a fanboy, but its quite a nice rifle.

any t3 for 329 is a steal in my opinion. you could easy re-sell for 400 to 450 or more. where is local and what store

what calibers

Your going to love that thing. My Tikka 270WSM Shoots the 140gr accubonds into tiny little clover leafs at 100yards and is a joy to carry around the mountains. I've taken antelope, deer, elk and a moose with it with zero issues. Longest shot on steel with it was 1100 yards. Really wanting to try some 150gr long range accubonds before this coming season.

Its going to take about 7-10 days for everything to get shipped in. Once I have everything, I am going to skim bed it into the mcmillan and go shoot! Ill post pics soon.
