Does anybody know if the Ollin adapter has magnets in the actual phone case? Or just on the eyepiece. I know that magnets in a bino harness can really mess with navigation on onx. I was wondering if the phone case would do the same.

I don't know about Android Phones but the iPhone seems unaffected for me even in OnX. Where magnets really get me messed up is with the Swarovski EL RF with Tracking.

Leupold has also stated that the new RF 5000 will be affected my magnets.

Same—iphone, have never had any issue with onx or any nav app due to magnetic closure on my marsupial bino harness, or on the magnetic dash-mounted phone holder. I dont think the iphone uses magnetic system for its compass.

A marsupial harness does (did) affect my iphone/onx. I emailed Ollin about it because I thought maybe it was just the eyepiece that had the magnets, and this is the response I got:

"The phone case has 4 magnets that are located within the tab around the camera. And those connect to the 4 magnets in the adapter that goes on your eyepiece. These magnets are what allow for perfect alignment"

So if youre a no mag person, theres the answer to that question.

Interesting. Sounds like maybe its specific to different models of iphone, or maybe some other variable? I had an iphone 8, a 12 and now a 14 and none are affected by my marsupial bino harness or the nite-ize magnetic mount, onx or google maps.
