Overall, I like the song not that its an absolute favorite or its going to be a classic but for me, I am glad to see people are finally willing to do stuff like this. For the last 7-10 years, I think many have been scared to do it and now people are willing to put their careers on the line for it. I think that is a good thing.

I guess the alternative to working your ass of is doing what everyone is doing lately, just not working and letting the government support them. And by government I mean us. Go get a job, put some money toward retirement and enjoy the ride. Everyone whining and complaining is getting old. I guess, it really didn’t seem that deep to me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good sounding song but I don’t understand why everybody is getting all fired up, the content of the song is nothing groundbreaking.

As someone very into music and songwriting...

It sounds like a bunch of buzzwords turned into a song.

No nuance, no subtlety, no creative rhyming, nothing that really stands out as great writing.

Feels to me as manufactured for attention as anything out there.

It is what country music is supposed to be, what's in your heart. Not all glitxy and polished and made to sell. Plus he's spot on. He is singing the truth as he sees it. I love it.

This song failed to resonate with me and a lot of my kin here in Pennsyltucky. Maybe if it was titled "Rich men north of Richmond HELPING PUBLIC LAND HUNTERS" they could relate. All people around here want to talk about is how good things are going for western public land hunters.
