My father gave me his remington model 12 take down model. He bought it in the 1920s for I think $20. It has killed hundreds of grouse and gophers.

If I can help it, it will be in the family forever.

My late great uncles model 54 .270 that his wife bought him brand new in 1937. Never been modified in any way. Through the years he shot 37 elk and 13 grizzly bears with it. They didn’t keep track of deer and antelope. I want to shoot a whitetail buck with it next season.
But I was told online that you need a .300 Win Mag minimum to take an elk or a grizzly bear 🤣🤣🤣 when will these buffoons learn?

Here’s my old rifle. My grandfather passed down his 1955 Winchester 94 30-30. In this picture it’s wearing the 1.5x weaver side mount he had mounted on it. I have since taken it off and I shoot it opens now.
I shot my first buck as well as my largest buck with this rifle. It sits in semi retirement now but I still use this rifle when I’m walking the woods on drives. I don’t think there’s a rifle out there that carries better than a 94.
