Seems like some folks are always looking to upgrade to the latest gear.
I'm sort of the opposite.
I probably have the record for oldest raingear...
..my boating raingear is commercial Helly Hansen from 1989.
My stove is a MSR whisperlite from 1993.
My smallish packpack is a Gregory from the 1980s, my big packpack is a Dana Designs from the 1990s.
Most of the time I hunt with Browning Citoris from the 1980s, Remington 700s from the 1980s and 1990s.
My go-to tent is almost 30 years old and still reliable, had to replace the zipper sliders but that is it.

I do go through waders about once every 5-10 years and always am happy with SIMMS.

My 2006 model Nikon 10x42 Monarchs are still with me and used today. I have looked through a bunch of expensive glass and my vision is not good enough to discern a difference.

I'm the same way -

Dana Bomb from the 90's
Osprey from the 90's
Eureka timberline from the 80's
Marmot gore tex rain gear from the 90's
Western mountaineering bag from the 90's (with gore 'dry loft' shell - some variant of goretex)
Marmot bag from the 90's
svea stove from the 80's
Hell I think I even have an old down bag from green mountain threadworms around somewhere..
And I still have a whitetail II from the 90's... (although I don't use it)

My dad believed every young man needed a .22, a shotgun, a deer rifle, and a pickup truck, and he made sure all his sons had one of each when we came of age. I still have them all and use them regularly: late 90's Ruger 10-22, early 2000's 12 ga Benelli Nova and 270 WSM Browning A-Bolt, and a 2005 F-150.

I have a 1993 F150 as my backup pickup...kept it because I like the 8 foot bed. and dirt cheap insurance.
Trucks don't rust out up here because they don't use road salt and its dry (12 inches of precip per year, low humidity)

Leica Trinovid 7 x 42 binos that I got in 1993. Still great glass for Mississippi Whitetails. They have been west four times and Canada once. Never wanted for better.

I grabbed my dads eureka timberline that he had in the 80s and still use it camping. I also still use his old set of cabela's goretex rain gear in trebark camo from the late 80s/early 90s. I have been in some terrible rains in both and each has kept me as dry as if they were new.

I’ve got a Winchester model 70 made in 1952, no safe queen, this is my primary hunting rifle.
Couple of Turkey calls my dad got me when I was in college so 2001 or 2002
A shimano spinning reel that’s pushing 12 years or so, this thing is a ******* tank.
I’ve got some old upland game vests that are close to 20 years old, have been abused, with lots of life left

My Mathews DXT bow is going on 12 years old
I still tote around an Ithaca 20gauge shotgun for squirrel that was my dads and older than me(36)
I just sold an ugly stick rod with probably the 3rd or 4th reel on it that was 20+ years old and only ever had the tip replaced, I used it a lot years ago and it was still in good shape, just a heavier rod than I like now.
