Okay, went with a bikini....WTF?

I have a couple different older belts with a single row of pals with the velcro on the back. They all have 2 straps, 1 delta & 1 lower.

Yep - I can confirm I don't have them on the belt. Single row pals and the waist strap are it, the other straps were apparently removed

While folks are being gracious enough to field questions....

There's a vimeo vid of the meat shelf option with the highcamp and bikini that someone posted. Problem is - it goes fast forward through actually hooking it up. Anyone have pointers for this one?

Yeah - it's not ideal but it's pretty well connected without it.

Yeah, the point of those straps are to stabilize the load. The next generation only had one strap. If you get a heavy load on there it would swing on you a bit. Did the sale post disclose this issue? To me that should be $30-50 off market value because you made the belt useless, or at least taken away one of it's main functions. You may call Kifaru/Aron and explain the situation and hopefully they will help you out and throw some straps back on.

The meat shelf platform that he uses in that video is no longer sold. I think Jimmy Tarps made one briefly and I think you could adapt the Exo one to work. You could also contact David at NTColorado.com to see if he'll make you one.

Yes and no? Wasn't disclosed per se, but with market value minus a little for the two bags that came with it, it was about $30 under market. Granted, that was for a package deal.

The frame is in such good shape and obviously fully functional I'm not really beaked about it; though I considered quick turning it for sale only because it's black and I'd rather have brown.

I think solving the shelf issue, physically is a pretty easy one. What I can't see is how to reattach the bag at the top if the frame stays don't go through the hypalon?

When putting meat between the frame and the bag you just use the compression straps and the lid to hold it on. So the attachment on the top in that video is just using the lid.

The new frames and belts no longer have the delta strap. It is my understanding that is how they now come directly from Kifaru. After extensive testing, it was deemed unnecessary by Kifaru staff.

Bikini frames and belts prior to this inline change (like mine) still have the delta straps. You may have an original bikini frame and a newer style belt.

They changed it from the 2 delta straps to a single stabilizer strap, but even the new 2015 frames still have the single load stabilizer strap. The change was described in this video I posted earlier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO7dbxqKTlQ. I am pretty sure the single row PALS belt was discontinued before they went to one strap, so they had to have been removed.

Thanks for the info fellas!

Less of an impact since kifaru canned the deltas anyway - but the load stabilizer does make sense on this frame. Maybe I'll just order one of those fancy new sofas from kifaru that they call a belt.

Almost made it with this. The problem is - the high camp has webbing on the back to attach the lid (at least that's how I did it.) soooo, if I attach the lid it's not using the frame at all above the top compression strap which is about halfway up the bag. There are plastic loops at the very top of the stays, looks useful but no idea how to attach anything to them.

I'm guessing this is the part where I have to back to kifaru and buy more extra hardware?

So if you look closely at the video he puts the lid over the sandbag but keeps it connected to the bag, so it isn't connected to the frame on top at all. It is just held to the frame with 3 compression straps. You can always order the compression kit if you want to secure it to the frame more, which he uses because the bag only has 2 compression straps on their own.
