I did something different and unexpected with rifles today.
A friend of ours comes down once a year for several weeks to help out with our work and get away from the winter weather in Ohio.
Most of what he did this trip was frame out a new room on our house. We were talking about shooting a lot, and straight wall requirements in Ohio came up. He wanted to get away from slugs and shotguns. He was looking at Henrys and such and I told him hold off. I wanted to show my appreciation for what he did for us.
I picked up some parts:

We got it close on the tripod. He's not comfortable going prone.

I went prone and finished zeroing. I worked on a drop chart on Shooter while he repainted targets.

I stayed in prone and dialed up 1.5 mil for a shot at 200 yards...

I dialed up 3.6 mil for a shot at 300 yards...

We had to get on with it to make time for a prescribed fire this afternoon, hence the smoke at the 200 yard line.
I'm impressed. I had marginalized 350 Legend as a work around for some short sighted lawmaking but it was really fun to shoot in a Tikka T3x.
