OG/OG6.5 Specific AR upper?

Handguard is a pri rifle length. It's a mid length pencil barrel.
I just went pencil to shave some weight. Bottom is a 20" criterion core shoots great as well.
Any experience with the delta shape handguards? Purely just want it cause I never see anyone shooting them in person.

BRT EZTune gas tube is the way.
Very happy with my brt tube on a LMT mid length 12.5" barrel on a specwar MRP upper. 3:30-4:00 ejection suppressed, cycles but doesn't lock back unsuppressed. I'm fine with that because I don't intend to shoot this unsuppressed.

I let brt choose and it's every but as smooth as my 18" rifle length gas barrel with a superlative arms gas block in vent mode.

That’s a good combo. POS upper though…

Benefit of running the BRT vs an SA AGB, other than easier install and $20 difference?

Edit: if anyone has OG65 vs aem5\ocm5 or 6 experience on a precision oriented AR, input would be welcomed. I'd eventually like a dedicated can for the 18" AR so the OG 65 can live on my hunting rifle.
@Formidilosus I know you have posted about your experience with the Ops Inc style cans before. I’m curious about this as well, can you give a quick breakdown on when you would use an og vs an ops inc style on an ar?

I said it shot smooth, not straight lol

Accuracy is pretty unimpressive compared to the SOLGW 12.5 carbine upper I had before.

Less chance of anything going wrong, less temptation to set the gas on the ragged edge and suddenly get malfunctions due to cold or a grimy upper.

After getting my thread adapter, I can't speak to how it performs, but it looks cool.

Pretty much either/or. If you aren’t concerned with weight, and you have the collar- the OPs Inc/AEM5/etc are really good. If you are concerned with weight, or don’t want a collared can- the OG65 works very well.

Heretic!

First ten 12.5” LMT test barrels-

First SPECWAR ever made-

Most were/are good with MK262, not spectacular. But, they do better than anything else with the ammo they were made for.

Mine is a used 16" from rooftop defense cut down by D. Wilson. It was 2.5 ish moa with imi 77gr and closer to 4 moa with my 77gr hand loads (my 18" BCM ss barrel is just under 1 moa with this ammo )for 10 shot groups at 100. The SOLGW was 1.5 moa with imi.

I actually cleaned the barrel yesterday since I don't know the history, and I'll give it another go. Hoping I don't have to give up on this barrel since the overall config is delightful.

Oh no, that ain’t right. If I recall correctly, the first 20 or averaged 1.2 to 1.5 MOA for 3x 10 round groups with BH MK262. I’ve shot a few 100 round groups with them and MK262 that were 2.5 MOA ES.

That’s a good setup you have.

Quite a few Specwar, NX8 combos here-

I’ve been abusing my dual cc 1-8 for over a year and it’s still perfect. Did you ever have any issues with yours?

Mine has seen probably 20-25k on top of a SR15 and a urgi, fallen out of trucks/packs, hit doorframes, been under all sorts of heavy gear piled on top, been thrown into competition barrels at high speed, the thing keeps on trucking. Sample side of 1 though.
