Off-road lights

I’ve been curious about the A-pillar setups, is there a lot of reflection/glare from the hood with those lights? Are most using spot or a combo beam pattern on lights mounted on the A-pillar?

Driving combo or wide cornering lens if it's from BD, depends on how you have them aimed/intended uses.

A-pillar/ditch lights can help fill in shadows and holes that the lights on the front of the truck can't deal with.

Hood glare isn’t bad if you run them angles out like they’re intended to be. If you run them too much forward hood glare is obnoxious but not bad.

I prefer a combo in this location. The flood illuminates immediate obstacles. The spot helps locate upcoming obstacles

I’ve run IR lights on the A pillar for years and have not had any issues with hood glare, but the lights, mounts, where they’re pointed, and seating position all play a part in that.

I’d recommend a combo beam pattern, the BD lights offer some great spot/driving combo patterns.

I definitely had hood glare on my white tacoma with a pillar "ditch lights " I used the BD squadron pros with a combo lens. They definitely worked good and probably had them faced a touch too forward.

I have run lots of bajas on multiple trucks past and current, and with that bias I still think they are the best. My hunting pickup is a 150 raptor with some squad pro amber ditch lights on the A pillar, s2 pro amber fogs, and then 6 xl80 pods in the center (2@racer spot, 2@driving clear, 2@driving amber). Might add four lp6 above? But I dont really need more.
