Anyone using something “different” or that isn’t marketed towards turkey hunting? I used a beretta a300 ultima patrol last year and it was great toting around the woods! Just got me wanting to try something else and was looking for a idea or suggestion for something different.

Any scattergun will kill a turkey. Something "different"? might try a .410 if you haven't. I've used a break barrel single shot thats kind of fun.

Bought a Stevens 410 single shot that is fun to carry around shoots lights out, out to 40 yards with tss but not really something out of the ordinary

I swapped to using a 28g beretta a400 for 90% of my shotgun work. weights 5.2# loaded recoil isn't noticeable and it's more usable than a 410. Put TSS in it and it kills like a 12g

I went with a Cva 410 as it was cheaper to buy the whole gun vs a barrel for a T/C or trying to figure out how to mount a red dot. So far it’s 2 for 2.

Citadel Warthog 12ga. Caught on sale at Dunham's for $170. Filed down the receiver then drilled and tapped for a rail and put a vortex sparc on it. Cycles turkey load pretty good.

I have my Dad's old H&R 849 Gamemaster 16 gauge with a poly choke. I killed my first squirrel with it when I was about 10 years old.

It has sat in my safe for decades, but I plan to take it out this spring and attempt to kill a gobbler with it.

I have really been eyeballing one of these for this season. Love me a good lever action. Totally impractical, especially with 2.5”. And not sure how difficult it would be to install a plug.

Not really odd but I borrowed my uncle's old favorite O/U 20ga, Investarm with double triggers, fixed full and Mod. Killed a couple birds with it. He was the reason I started hunting so it was cool to shoot his old gun!
