Very comfortable pant and fairly durable. Just depends on how hard you are on gear. I tend to keep my gear in mind while I'm using it. I've had a pair of obsidians for 2 years now and have taken them on numerous trips including a weeklong sheep hunt and a weeklong goat hunt on Kodiak. Only pair of pants I wore on the sheep/goat hunt and they did great. Don't over heat in them, they don't soak up stank, and they dry just as fast as most synthetics I thought. I did put a silver dollar size rip in the butt area on the sheep hunt and about a quarter size rip on the goat hunt. Patched it up with tenacious tape to get me home and FL sent me some fabric to patch the hole.
