NWT Moose Hunt Raffle

No, a winner will be pulled once all tickets have been sold. We are a very young chapter, having just formed in July 2024, and this is our first raffle. Being a 2027 hunt I think has played a part, but mostly I think the slow sales has been because we just don’t have the Rolodex or reach of the more established chapters. Do the math on any other raffle for a horseback hunt in the NWT for a A/Y moose and this is the best odds for the money you will find. I’ll be in Reno at the sheep show in January, and I hope to sell many of the remainder of our tickets there.

I do want to thank everyone who has bought a ticket for your support, and your patience. We too want to sell out and draw as soon as possible.

I buy this type of raffle ticket regularly. I fully understand and get the math. I just don’t want to waste a few hundred bucks on a raffle that may not happen (if the tickets don’t sell out in time). That’s the primary concern. Otherwise I’d buy a few.

Not trying to be a jacka$$. Just trying to gather info to make a decision.

Apologies a communication has not gone out yet. The person who manages our constant contact went out of town right after we drew, and didn't send out an announcement before he left. A gracious guy from the midwest named Randy was the winner. He bought a single ticket. He has hunted moose, but never gotten one. Congrats to him, and thank you to all who participated and have helped to put and keep sheep on the mountain.
