Anyone ever get a numb arch from extended time hiking or hunting. I've had the top part of my foot go numb for a while after big pack outs but my left arch is still numb after 2-3 days this past trip. Doesn't hurt too run but the arch is numb. Wondering if my superfeet insoles are old. Also, I've got the green ones. Do the others have a higher arch? I'm wearing the Salomon fugitives for boots. Trying to figure out the cause... Mike

Compressing a nerve I would guess. My old Vasque Breaze' numbed the front left side of my foot for 6 months after less than a week of use. Doc said the nerve would come back to life... or not.

Have had the same issue for years with my last three toes on my right foot. Happens in my hunting boots while hiking and also my snowboard boots. Numb for a few weeks after a trip and then eventually comes back to life. I have no idea the cause, but it doesn't really seem to bother me much.

When the top of my foot goes numb it has usually been because of the laces or the tounge was putting too much pressure in one spot. Don't be afraid to experiment. Change the lace pattern over the top of your arch and make sure the tounge doesn't have a big lump or fold creating a pressure point.

Top of my right foot went numb after this years hunt. Always had slight numbness after extended backpack hunts in that spot and it went away right after the hunt but this time it is much slower to have feeling come back.

Superfeet green is the most supportive in their line of products (last time I checked) and muleman is spot on with his advice.

Maybe I need to upgrade the shoes. I might need more support? I haven't gone down the lowa/hanwag route to this point but maybe I need to with backcountry hunting here in colorado.
