WTB NULA 300 WM

How about a deal on a very nice condition Colt Light Rifle in 300 Win Mag that you can send in to have Melvin upgraded to a NULA rifle for about a grand or so (or less if you install his stock/bedding and trigger/safety upgrade yourself). There is nothing wrong with the trigger/safety, Melvin just likes his own. Its the least expensive method to getting a NULA rifle...and maybe the only way if you can't find someone selling one. He has upgraded many of these Colts so he knows the process and you can call him to confirm the actual cost. I only have 3 shots fired from this one and have considered the upgrade myself but have since purchased an HS Precision built Winchester model 70(The factory Sporting Sharpshooter) in 300 Win Mag. 650.00 net to me and about 1200.00 or so to Melvin and you have a NULA at less than half price and no 12 month wait time for a new build. His model 28 is 3900.00 now and a used one would be around 3000.00 if you could find one. Last I heard he was still doing them but that was a year ago or so. Let me know if this rifle interests you.

I have (3) 338-06 rifles and haven't shot any of them..but I do love that cartridge. One is a full custom Classic model built by Mark Bansner with his custom wood stock(he only built 1 or 2 a year with the wood stock). The checkering is the best Ive ever seen by anyone. I live near Mark, and have a custom in 35 Whelen he built for me with his fiberglass stock way back when he first built them himself in his basement. Of course, that was long before he became famous and began charging 6-8 grand for his rifles. One is a custom built on a Mauser 98 action and its sweet. The other is a Weatherby Ultra-Lightweight. Just can't go wrong with a 338-06.
