What’s the story behind the 338-06? I’ve always wanted one of those....How about a new, unfired NULA .338/06?
I’ll send you a PM. Thank you.How about a deal on a very nice condition Colt Light Rifle in 300 Win Mag that you can send in to have Melvin upgraded to a NULA rifle for about a grand or so (or less if you install his stock/bedding and trigger/safety upgrade yourself). There is nothing wrong with the trigger/safety, Melvin just likes his own. Its the least expensive method to getting a NULA rifle...and maybe the only way if you can't find someone selling one. He has upgraded many of these Colts so he knows the process and you can call him to confirm the actual cost. I only have 3 shots fired from this one and have considered the upgrade myself but have since purchased an HS Precision built Winchester model 70(The factory Sporting Sharpshooter) in 300 Win Mag. 650.00 net to me and about 1200.00 or so to Melvin and you have a NULA at less than half price and no 12 month wait time for a new build. His model 28 is 3900.00 now and a used one would be around 3000.00 if you could find one. Last I heard he was still doing them but that was a year ago or so. Let me know if this rifle interests you.
