NRL Hunter Gear List

Do you guys hunt with the table/bag setup? Was just curious about getting a lightweight option and using it on lightweight tripod for hunts.
I dont use it much but lswild has a lightweight plate/bag and you can ask for the lightweight bag fill.

Shmedium game changer git lite, it’s a shooting bag for front and rear support, pillow, glassing pad, food prep station, it has many uses and weighs nothing. I have a carabiner on the handle and hang it on my pants pocket or pack belt.

Thought about running one of these in factory class too since there aren’t many decent lefty options. How you like it??
The gun shoots silly good. Last 10 round group was 0.5" with no load development. Action is fantastic - I think all tikka's are. Stock works OK but I am so used to chassis that I will change it out after I shoot the next match. The mag fed like crap until I took it apart and worked over the spring.

I do use the LS wild plate/bag to hunt with. If it was a super strenuous backpack hunt i might not pack it but for mild day hunts i bring it.

Am I cooked without a bipod? Just signed up for my first NRL games in the skills division, I’m planning to shoot my hunting setup howa mini 6 ARC with an ARCA section. I’ve got a tripod and have an Aziak BC lite head coming in, I don’t plan to put a bipod on this rifle, but I’m wondering if it’s basically a necessity to shoot NRL not just for support, but for a rifle stand when not actively running a stage etc.

This is purely for practice and fun as this rifle doesn’t even meet power factor to shoot in a real NRL Hunter match
It really depends on the match, IMO. The first match I shot would have sucked without a bipod because so many stages/positions were prone. The last match had a lot fewer prone positions/stages. You can probably get by off your pack when you need to get prone, but without a bipod you are probably "forcing" yourself to shoot off your tripod more than you would if you had one as some some "high prone" positions rule out a pack, at least for me. So, you CAN do it without a bipod, but I would probably recommend bringing at least some bipod if you have it. If not, I wouldn't let that keep you from shooting the match.
