I'm pretty sure that dude was on a recent season of Alone, and he failed miserably because he lost his quiver of arrows and then whined about it alot rather than searching

Serious? How do you lose an entire quiver? And then not be able to find it once you realize you left it somewhere?

Good question. Finding after losing it, in the terrain this guy was in, would be very hard. The video made it seem like he didn't spend that much time trying to find it. Maybe he did ... There's no way to tell. But he did stick it out and try to procure food through other methods as long as he could.

I think it was either season 10 or 11

That would definitely suck. I think the only season of Alone is ever watched was the one with Clay Hayes. May have to track this one down too.

I talked with Clay once about being on alone. He said the show takes your footage and spins their own stories sometimes. Maybe they did that with the lost quiver. I.e. he lost it and looked like hell for it, but they made it sound like he just bitched about it.

Interesting! That's very likely. I always figured to is just as bad as the regular marketing people who put their own spin on everything. I'll certainly watch more of this guy's videos. He seems like a good, honest guy.

You should certainly watch clay Hayes hunting videos if you haven't. They're great

Yeah, Clay said they overall did a good job telling his story. He said the one thing they dramatized was the Martin or fisher that they portrayed as trying to steal his food was not real. In real time he said it had basically become his pet and he was glad to have him around.

It was entertaining...but I was left questioning a few things. Even primitive man had a way to carry water with you.....why walk around with no water?

Below zero temps and he only had an elk hide over him at night? Right.

I thought it was a pretty neat video and looked like some nice country to explore. Reminded me of hunting off horseback when I lived in Alaska. I wonder what part of Wyoming that was?

Listen to any of the books or documentaries on the frontiersmen.

Long story short us that we are all huge pussies.

One of the reasons I want to the drift 100. I've done 100 miles, but not one in winter. I think it would make me feel slightly less like a puss compared to people 200 years ago

That was a great video. I appreciate effort he went to but not carrying any water just seems silly. He obviously got away with it, but there are lots of primitive ways to carry water, and he was using carbon arrows. He could have sacrificed some of his 'modern tech' for a nalgene bottle and then used wood arrows to compensate. 😆 Either way, he's obviously a very dedicated hunter.
