Not Another Cooler Thread

Our local vet clinic gets many shipments of styrofoam coolers and ice packs this time of year with cattle processing.

It's an option for tightwads like me if you want to consider it

I can be a tightwad too. I prefer the sturdiness and clean-ability of the Coleman Extreme 5 which only cost about $50. Cooler tests on you tube showed the Coleman to be good, not the best, but plenty enough for my needs. I get 5 bags of ice (10 lb. each) from Walmart and it holds for days, 73 cents per bag. At that rate, it would take a long time for me to justify a roto-molded cooler.

I've got the Coleman as well. The 120qt was just on sale for $45. Would totally do the foam cooler thing if I'd thought of it though

if your a tight wad , visit garage sales , throughout the year . high dollar coolers are practically a dime a dozen . specially if it is run by some woman recently divorced from a hunter.

I think I’m gonna roll with the Coleman option this year for my elk hunt

Coleman xtreme and gas station ice. That combo has kept my elk and antelope just fine for well over a week for many years all across the west.

The Lifetime 77 is a reasonable option $150. Lived up to the reviews, still had major ice 6 days.

The styrofoam coolers that medication is shipped in are generally very thick walled with a comparatively small interior. The usable space to size on them is not very good. Unless they are getting different ones than I do.
