I was curious if anyone else has noticed that the 500D cordura on Kifaru packs seems a little more quality than other packs? Even the PU coating seems thicker on the inside. I know Stone Glacier states that their Cordura is made in America, but it just seems softer or thinner even though its 500d.

I know overseas knockoff cordura is less quality and is cheaper, but again I have confirmed that Stone Glacier uses American made cordura.

Yes Kifaru materials no matter what they are tend to be top tier .

Yes I get that, but I would like to know the facts behind it. When I researched Cordura Brand there are several different types of Cordura. Maybe SG uses a different type. Is the abrasion resistance the same? I’m lookimg for more facts instead of my hand feel. Maybe my eye test and feel is misleading and in fact both 500d cordura fabrics are one in the same.
