It’s a shame that companies want to sell the big name bling in components but never check feed and extraction. Too many rifles shoot well these days but flop on solid feeding and positive extraction. The one factory rifle that seems to get it right is Tikka.

You are right there. I bought a Tikka in 243 for my son to use a while back. He’s pretty much done with it so i put it in an AG composites stock with some new bottom metal etc. and it just keeps on chugging along. It’s a ton of fun to shoot and reload for. It’ll do 3/4 moa or better all day with the stock barrel on reloads.

I wanted to treat myself to a “nice” rifle and the M21 fit the bill. Unfortunately it seems as if my caliber choice was a poor one. But, since it was a caliber OFFERED FOR SALE the manufacturer is the one who dropped the ball hard...

I wish I could find one in 280 Ackley to fondle and if it passes my scrutiny, I would buy it.

I might sell my NIB Nosler Custom Shop 270 WSM to make that happen.
I have a 21 in 280ai and it’s my favorite rifle and shoots .370 with 140 nosler bt factory ammo. Trigger goes all the way down to 2 pounds instead of the listed 2.5. I knew the 280ai would feed well being a standard case

Still waiting for a .308 or 6.5CM to show back up. It’s killing me trying to wait.

I sold a 48 Custom Shop 270 WSM that I bought from Ramblin99, I don't know if it was the undiagnosed anemia or that I am a puss, but that rifle felt like it kicked like a mule. I think it was the former, because I have never been recoil sensitive.

Anxious to try one out, even though I already have a 280 Ackley custom that shoots well outside my capabilities, and therefore I have no real need for one.

Does yours have feeding Issues like the others? I had to send mine back.
Wish I knew, I’m in AK and haven’t been able to find f’n ammo up here yet and nobody will ship here. Was just down in MT and couldn’t find any there either

Dang! I’m tempted to send you 3 rounds just so you can check it!? How long does it take mail to get up there from the east coast? I would still call nosler. They know enough now to know whether or not it’s isolated to a few guns or all but my money is on it being all prc guns

So I just emailed several big gun dealers on gunbroker that had half a dozen to a dozen nosler m21 6.5prc available and told them the story 😬

Haha, I would gladly take them! I’d even send them back if you’d like. I just want to know if I have an issue or not. I emailed nosler this morning asking just that. Will see what they say in their reply.

Send me your address! Not sure if you can send it privately or not? I’m new here

Yea. It really bothered me to hear that there is a possibility that we are getting different stories. That stinks of dishonesty and I have little patience for that. The conversation today left little doubt about what direction I want to take. It’s a shame, really. But, it’s just a “thing”.
This was my email to David this am. I would love to know what they say to y’all!

David, I would like to know a couple things going forward please.

1. What exactly is wrong?
2. How did it happen?
3. What is the solution ?
4. What is the timeline to have it fixed?
5. Are refunds or a swap out an option?

Thanks!

I don’t like what’s happening one bit. However I am going to give Nosler the chance to make it right. I do believe they will make the effort to offset this bad experience and have been in the business several decades to understand the issue here. I am also sure they have reached out to all distributors to try and collect these rifles to prevent further customer issues that only reflect negatively online like this is now.

Here’s my email to them yesterday…hoping for something back today or tomorrow.

I recently purchased a model 21 in 6.5 PRC. I was an early adopter, but have yet to find 6.5 PRC ammo anywhere here in Alaska. I also could not find any ammo in Missoula, MT. I have begun seeing a lot of issues pop up surrounding the PRC with the magazine and feeding when the mag has 2 or 3 rounds loaded. However, since I haven’t found ammo yet, I haven’t been able to test my rifle. My question to you is, is this feeding issue a universal design flaw or is it not impacting ALL of the PRC rifles? I’d like to use this rifle this fall, and if it’s a universal problem I’d like to get it out of the way in case I can’t find ammo for another few months. My rifle SN is less than 100, and on Rokslide, it looks like every PRC is having the same issue when 2+ rounds are loaded in the mag. I know of at least 3 roksliders who have their gun with you now and I have not heard of a 6.5prc withOUT the issue. As stated above, If this is a design issue and is universal, I’d like to go ahead and start the process.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I agree and I hope they do however they have not used language thus far that would indicate that. Also there are plenty of 6.5prc still listed with large dealers on Gun broker. I expect we will know more about what they are going to do and when in a few days. Perhaps they already know but they haven’t communicated it yet. Hopefully top management/owners will get involved.

Very curious to see what their response is here. If it is in fact a universal design flaw, I’d hope they would entertain the swap option. I do love this rifle, and if it’s going to take significant time for them to work the issue out…I’d consider swapping for a different caliber and scratch my 6.5prc itch with something else.

The response I got today was no response. I mean they responded but the questions were not answered. I’m sure David is a great guy but it’s clear that the owners or top management have either not gotten involved or not made a decision on how to handle it. I just want to be told what the fix is and how long it’s going to take and given some kind or option.

Also I would seriously doubt they admit it’s a design flaw! But I’m almost positive it is because if it wasn’t we would have our guns back. They could just put a new wyatts box in or a different brand or tweak the box and follower that’s in there. That doesn’t take any time at all.
