How do the Nosler BT 120 do on Elk? My Tikka .308 loves them. The box loads. Wouldn't even have to hand load.

100 yards off a bench, and 3 touching holes. I just never tried the BT's on game before.

I have used .243 90g on deer. works fine. So I'm pretty confident a 120 will work on Elk, unless I hit a shoulder... or something massive....

I’ve only seen 125 grain NBTs in 30 cal. I’ve had great results from 120 grain NBTs in my 7-08. I wouldn’t hesitate to shot an elk with the 120s. I haven’t shot anything with the 125s, though.

They would probably work fine. However, you should bounce over to MidwayUSA and buy some 125 grain Accubonds. 👍

I did try the accubonds in my Tikka. It didn't like them too much. Maybe they were too heavy.....
They work better if you have no other copper jacket material in the bore. Otherwise they can foul quickly and the accuracy can be poor.

I did the opposite. I shot antelope with accubonds. Never do that again.
4 little pencil holes... I'm still curious how the BT will do on Elk...

I use the 125 gr out of 2 of my 300 wby. They work great. They do some damage. I first started loading them in my 30 06. Pigs was shot with my 300 wby. I had no issues in my 06.
