Nosler 180 grain partition experiences

I’m a big fan of Nosler bullets. Early in my hunting career I shot a Weatherby Mark V SF in 300 Weatherby shooting factory 180 Partitions. I’ve killed about 8 bull elk and 10 mule deer with that combo. Never caught a bullet and all were DRT except a mule deer that I made a bad gut shot on.

I have also killed one bull elk with a 270 WSM and 150 grain (2) Partitions (went 5 yards), one bull elk with a 7mm Weather Magnum with a 160 grain Partition (lung shot, went 5 yards, and one bull elk with a 7mm Remington Magnum and a 160 grain Partition (double lung, went 50 yards) and a bunch of mule deer!

I recently had a custom Alamo Precision Maverick built in 300 Weatherby Magnum and switched to 200 grain Nosler Accubonds at 3075 fps. Killed a small New Foundland bull moose at 260 yards, two shots and he ran about 30 yards before piling up. I did see him “hump up” on the first shot and he turned 180 degrees running down hill. On the same hunt, killed a B&C Woodland Caribou at 200 yards and saw him drop in the scope.

Went to NewMexico in 2023 and killed a small 6x6 bull elk at 385 yards, hit a bit back and he needed a second shot through both shoulders to anchor him. No bullets caught!

I just came back from a Maine moose hunt and shot a 36”, 752 lbs moose at 40 yards with my Nosler Outfitter in 30-06 and 180 grain Nosler Accubond. Bull was almost head on, hit in neck and the bullet was found in the hind quarter, traveled 5-6 feet of moose! Saw him drop in the scope! I’m a believer in Nosler bullets! Hope this helps!
