I was out in the mountains during that same storm. Hard work and persistence in tough conditions usually yields reward. Good job out there. I just posted my opener story and it is a lot like yours.

Nice buck, I live in nor cal and have had the pleasure of that weather many times. What are you using for a pack tarp? I looks nice and light. Thanks Frank

Very nice Doug! I am curious what type of clothing you were wearing? Layers, outerwear, etc. and how it worked?

Zack, all merino base layers, kryptek outerwear and rain gear. When I was using a jacket with a hood, which was most of the time, it was the Kuiu jacket as I don't have a kryptek one with a hood. All worked well, the kryptek rain gear worked very well for beating brush that was soaked with water.

We had similar weather (just not snow) for the OR high cascade rifle opener. Its amazing how many people go home or just stay in camp. Good for you and your group getting things done.
