Norma brass dimensions?

Just to preface in case this is a stupid question. I am new to reloading.

I just picked up a 100 bulk brass pack of Norma 30-06 brass and 64 of them are below the Lyman 50th edition trim to length of 2.484. Is this normal for Norma brass? Do I need to run them threw the sizing die before I measure them? I am at a loss. Any help is appreciated.

pick the shortest one and make them all the length of the shortest one. when they need trimmed, trim

Yes, that is normal. I’ve seen it with a few brass manufacturers where the new length was shorter than the trim too length. I’d trim them all so they are the same, chamfer and deburr then load them up. They’ll lengthen after firing.
