Excuse me as I'm new to lr. just picked up 6 boxes of 6.5CM bondstrike factory ammo on a recent trip .
On norma website BC is listed as G1 .629 and G7 .313.
i think the BC for the 6.5 bullet is the same regardless of whatever variation of load it's going in so in strelok i should actually use .530 instead as my BC correct?

I am shooting a factory tikka t3x 6.5CM with the 24 in barrel any guess as to what my fps would be?
on the box i says 2740 but I;m seeing claims it's slow? I know i should find a chrono but where I'm at is kinda rural and I don't know anyone with one. some guidance would help me get a better ballpark number before I confirm. thanks

Some one with that gun and ammo May chime in. But I have the gun and have shot other factory.

I’d start with numbers at .530 and 2650 with the tikka. Take a few shots at 300yds with a 100 yard zero and see where they land. Should be close.

I have a 24" T3x in 6.5 and get 2650 from Norma Whitetail 140 gr

I get 2625 from Hornady eldm 147 gr



I had another T3x in 24" and got this:

Hornady 147 eld-m
Avg 2600 fps

Federal 140 non-typical
Avg 2680 fps

*****Same gun cut to 21"***

Hornady 147 eld-m
Avg 2500 fps

Federal 140 non-typical
Avg 2605 fps

American Whitetail 129
Avg 2630 fps

Hornady 143 eld-x
Avg 2570 fps

thank you. interesting as they claim 2657 on the norma whitetail which is pretty much spot on your numbers. I also have 2 boxes of this but probably will just use it for practice. maybe the bondstrike is close too?

I have a 24” barrel with a brake and averaging 3045fps. 2 blacktails and a bear for 2022 from 60 to 500 yards and they have performed well.

That’s awesome. Mines not too far off. I guess I should have mentioned my speeds. Im getting 3122 fps with a 6.5” can. Haven’t killed anything yet but hopefully I will this coming season. Thank you for the terminal ballistics report.

1 question, will Norma Bondstrike Extreme 7 fit in a 7mm-08 tikka t3. I understand you can remove the bolt stop and use 3006 length mag.... this would essentially turn my 7mm-08 into a 7mm creedmoor. 165 gr .632 G1, and not have to pay Nosler prices, you have my attention. .284 bondstrike and the 155gr Terminal assent are on my radar 0.o

I bought some in November and killed this 8 pt , he was 80 yards quartering to and he dropped in his tracks and kicked for 5 seconds…
I was happy but haven’t seen any review on the tip strike.
