Good catch, there has to be a disparity somewhere. The G1.530 BC is for the 180 grain 30 Cal round. The G7 was pulled from the other gentleman.

I did see another thread on a different forum that stated the .530 G1.

I'd prefer to use G7 though. .271 is roughly equivalent to .530 G1 so I might start with that and true up from there.

Which coefficient you use is dependent on what the bullet design is, however with that said if you note the calc charts I showed on the previous page, they're almost exactly the same. Different velocities but not really a drop difference to 1,200yds. How the heck that is I don't know, I don't know how a G7 for a 6.5mm bullet and a G1 for a .30 bullet gave exactly the same numbers, I think there's an issue there in the inputs.

Understand that. The bondstrikes are shaped more like the G7 standard, but Norma published a G1. I'd prefer to use a G7, but maybe best to stick to G1 of 530 for now as that seems to have more data behind it.

I chrono'd 10 shots of the Norma 180 Bondstrike 300 RUM ammo at an avg of 3334 FPS this past weekend. SD was 19FPS, ES was 70fps.

SD and ES are a bit higher than optimal as the ES extremes result in close to a +/- .2 vertical dispersion at 1000 yards.

That's more vertical dispersion than I want at range, but will need to accept it for now since I'm running factory ammo. I plan on shooting out to 1000, and 1200 if it's available, in a few weeks and will attempt to true the BC in my Kestral.

Plugging data into Stelok and using the G1 of .530, I'm getting the below data table. Put in a 6mph 90 degree wind to estimate the gun MPH.

I did some load work up on these for my 6.5PRC. I had a good node at the higher end. I knew they’d be a little harder to tune being a bonded bullet.

I’m curious if anyone here has tried these bullets or another Bondstrike in a different caliber? I bought some from Norma a couple weeks ago and plan on trying them in my 6.5PRC pretty soon...

My rifle is a Christensen Arms MPR with a 24" barrel
Base to ogive was 2.328, which was a COAL of 2.955 I believe.
58.7gr N565 3004avg
59.0gr N565 3028avg
59.3gr N565 3049avg
These all were low ES and SD. 59gr opened a tad, but I noted that I pulled the shot. 58.7 measured .236 MOA and 59.3 measured .361 MOA.

The 180 gr Bondstrike ammo averaged 2890 over 7 shots through my 300 WSM at the range today. (20" Benchmark carbon barrel with 6" suppressor)

I'm just doing barrel break-in at 25 yds, so no meaningful accuracy data worth sharing.

I’ll have to check mine. I shot the factory stuff for 300wsm as well. In a 20” barrel. My rifle didn’t love it.

I did some pressure testing today with the Bondstrike in the 65 PRC. These were all single shots with N565 in a 25" Bartlein #4 and a TB UL7 gen 2.

I felt a little bolt resistance at 56.8. I expected the 55.4 load to be in the mid 2900's.

The four shots from 55.8 - 56.4 has an SD of 4. That's a huge velocity node to play with assuming they're accurate.

This an older thread but I’ll chime in. Shot a grizzly and moose in Alaska. 196 yards in the bear. Dropped on first shot. Just behind the shoulder slightly quartering. Guess I clipped a nerve on offside shoulder. No exit hole. Bullet had perfect expansion. Shot a moose at 340 yards. Heart shot went 15 yards and fell over. After the moose was cut up the heart had one hell of a hole through it. Could stick my finger through it no problem so the bullet had to have expanded great. Never did find the bullet but had no exit hole. Don’t know where that rascal ended up. .300 WSM 180 grain out of a Remington 700

Returned from my NL moose hunt this weekend. Norma Bondstrike worked well on my moose. 1st hit was at 200 yards, lung hit just above the heart. 2nd hit was a quartering away shot at 250 yards that hit rib, and blew a massive exit hole (pic attached).

Both bullets exited.

I chrono'd the Norma Bondstrike ammo at 3334FPS out of my custom 300 RUM.

I shot two doe antelope with the 180’s out of a 300 wsm yesterday. 185 yards broadside on both. Hit a rib on entry on one which resulted in some impressive damage internally plus a tennis ball sized exit. Entered behind the ribs on the other one and exited behind the shoulder. Comparatively Smaller wound channel on this one but still performed very well. Super happy with what I saw

Pretty sure it only hit rib on the exit. Internal damage from both was pretty significant though.

165 grain Norma Bondstrike 7mm RM. Recovered under the hide. ~100 yards on a cow elk. Hit one shoulder blade. Weighs about 127 grains = 77%.

I shot my 7mm today. Tikka. 5 shots at 100 over the chronograph. First four measured ~1/2". Last shot (left) opened it up to 1". It could've been me or not. It is hard for me to shoot this magnum as well as my smaller cartridges.

Very consistent velocity. Better than my hand loads, but very slow for a 24" barrel. It was about 25°f but 200fps slower than the box says? And ~200fps slower than my 162 eld-x handloads...

I input that velocity in my hornady app and it suggested 6.3moa for 400 yards. Held 6moa and shot 4 shots. This group measures ~4.5"

I am definitely happy with the accuracy and consistent velocity. But disappointed how slow it is.

It seems silly but I was really impressed with the packaging. These sleeves snap into two 5-round halves that fit well in a pocket. And the cartridges are protected and clipped in securely at the extractor groove and above the base.
