I picked up the 6.5 PRC to use for breaking in a barrel. At $1.25 per round, it is almost cheaper than I can reload it for. Decent price on the 6.5 CM too.

Has anyone shot this 6.5 prc load before? I know the 143 bond strikes work well. I thought I heard these golden target weren't very good but maybe it was something else. Considering buying it just for the brass honestly

No personal experience and not super cheap but they have 223 as well.
End up with some decent brass anyway.

Have had good luck shooting the golden target out to 700yds with my Springfield waypoint. Testing it out as we speak on my new shorty Tikka build!

SD of 13.2 fps over 8 shots on the last group I shot with the 143gr golden.

I haven’t shot mine yet. They’re packaged well and look to be quality, but couldn’t tell you how they group.

I need to break a barrel in and mainly wanted these for the brass as well.

I had the 143gr 6.5 CM. They were a little slow (2450 in 18" barrel) but it was consistently right at or under 1 MOA out of two different rifles. Even the 150gr Norma Whitetail in 7mm Rem Mag is at or under 1 MOA. Horrible BC but consistent within reasonable distance. She'll still consistently ring the 2 MOA plate at 840. Those are close to advertised speed. ~3000-3005 vs 3018 adv. My buddy has the 6.5 PRC and 300WM and he reports the same results. Slow but consistent at ~1 MOA.

If I wasn't having so much fun with reloading, I would buy cases of Norma. Brass is excellent for reloading as well.
