Non-slip Lumbar Pad Material

Thinking of making up my own backpack. Any recommendations/sources for good non-slip material for the lumbar pad?

I have no experience making my own backpack, but I always have to add layers of padding to sculpt the lumbar pads on my pack to the contours of my (hipless) lower back. I just take an old military surplus foam sleeping pad and cut sections into the right shape. If I want more than one layer, I glue or Velcro them onto each other and cut them into shape as needed.

They Exo packs have a nice non-slip lumbar pad... maybe take a look at the material they use
