I need an edc bag to carry in and out of the hospital.

I bought a kuiu 2300 and I like it but I want non asian made, It just can't be to tactical looking as god forbid the baby nurse coworkers get upset.

15-2500 size.

Several Kifaru models available. I’m using the Stone Glacier Avail 2200 right now and it’s been perfect for my edc needs.

Kifaru checkpoint. Sitting at my gate waiting for flight with it right now. Been solid for over two years now.

TAD now makes all of their bags sin “slick” editions which cuts out most if not all Pals/MOLLE. I feel the Scout, though small at 15 L is the least military looking. I also feel that black is less military looking that foliage, CB or camo, so there is that. Most if not all recent vets I know carry tactical bags from service that are CB, influenced from Middle East rather than jungle environs.

Hill People Gear has some good less tactical pack that would work well for EDC. And Mystery Ranch still has a few made in USA models, though those might be more on the tactical side.

There is a thread on this on the Carryology facebook page (maybe started by you?) with a link to a blog post for those that are not on FB - https://www.carryology.com/liking/brands/our-favorite-made-in-the-usa-backpack-brands/

Non China? I’m in! You’d be surprised at what you can buy made right here in America if a guy is willing to do a little homework and pay about 10% more for something and in a lot of cases near the same price point.

Thats what I am saying. I actually need a non tactical pack and a tactical pack, I just refuse to pay some of the money people are asking.

I've handled a few of these brands and can personally vouch for TAD, SG, HPG, HMG. My TAD Axiom 24 gets used the most by far though. Great list!

Hill, people, gear, Aston three is really nice. It has internal Pals for pouch organizing and the harness is super comfortable. Great pocket layout and quality workmanship better than the Rhino

Ashton is no where to be found HPG told me in an email that they are unsure when it will be back.

I have a Kifaru Antero that has been great. As far I know every part of kifaru is American made. I also have a GORUCK that I use for training with their internal plates. It is not comfortable at all, it makes 25lbs fee like 40. But for training that’s not all bad. I would not use it for anything else. Not all GORUCKs are American made either.
