I did this with my top zip long pocket in my highcamp, the KU 3 bar sliders on my long pocket are 3/4" the common loops on the highcamp for the chamber pocket is 1", it would slip out once in a while. I got my longpocket when the KU packs where still in production, the KU pockets might come with both size 3 bar sliders now so it may work better. Currently I'm using my KU longpocket as a stuff sack for my BCS2. I can attach it to the outside of my pack if I need to. For whatever reason the 3/4" 3 bar slider stays better when attached to the webbing loops on the outside of the pack rwhen it's moderately full.

I used a small piece of duct tape to keep the small 3 bar sliders from coming out of the larger common loops.

Aron,

I was going to put my bladder in the sleeve on one side of the Nomad and offset the weight of that bladder with kill kit and other things on the other side. Would this work OK? Also, if you put your bladder in the pocket as you have it in the pics and loaded a full campbag on top of it between the batwings, would that cause any problems?

Problem is as you drink the sides become unbalanced. How noticeable it is depends on how big the bladder is.

Unless you have something big against the back of the pack, the bladder in a wing will be real close to centered when they're folded in and compressed. You can also use a rectangular bladder and put it in a large belt pouch and put that anywhere you want.

I gotta assess my options with the bladders I have...I want to have it against the back panel for hiking, day hunting, etc. But want to be able to relocate it easily and in balance, should I need to strap something tight between the wings.

Aron, will that be available for order soon? And what other mounting options can you foresee?

Looks great Aron, but I think your on the wrong side of things. Could this fit between the bikini frame and bag?, similar to the stone glacier? This way you don't have to undo the bag or open up the wings to access the bladder. I made a DIY one for my high camp that uses g hooks and attaches right on the back side of the bikini frame and between the bag itself. It works awesome. I keep a squeeze and 2 liter bag in a medium pouch on the back and outside of my high camp. When I hit a stream I can refill the bladder without getting in my pack. Works sweet and fast.

How hard is it to pull the bladder out the way you described?

I haven't gotten mine yet but on one of the videos it looks like aron slides it into one of the wing pockets, will this not be a good way? Also has anyone used the carabener to attach a bladder in the middle of the frame or is this not feasible?

There is a loop in the top center back that you can hang a bladder from, or drop it in a wing, or use a square bladder in a belt pouch, etc. Lots of different ways to carry water. You can see the loop above the Gen II meat bag in my picture above.

Aron with the bladder between the bikini and bag I don't even pull the bladder out to refill it. I just pull it up and out a few inches and fill. If youve seen the stone glacier it basically works just like that

YOU don't have too, but I use drops, so is it easy to take out?

You CAN use the one we designed the way you're talking about, but it's a PITA.

i agree, it seems like filling that beast between the frame and the pack could be a pain. It may work great when pumping it from a filter, but if you are filling from a stream or your faucet you will likely have to remove the thing... which would mean taking apart the set up.

The main reason i quit using the bladders is because they are always more of a pain in the ass to fill that i just bring water bottles. I like the bladders more and i stay better hydrated with them. The nomad, no matter how you hang the bladder or put in the wings, will be much easier to fill and i may start using mine again... that is if it isnt filled with mold hahaha

This can attach to any kifaru pack where the common loops/chamber pocket it located.

Most of the Kifaru packs come with a bladder pocket, but the High Camp and Nomad do not. This would be a detachable bladder pocket when needed.

I'll post more photos, but this works well on the Nomad with multiple configurations. I've been testing it with the camp bag (works great like that), but also with belt pouches, bladder pocket and then back pouch on top.

What do you think?

Does this come with a bottom attachment point, or does it only attach from the top and "flop around"?
