Is anyone out there running this combination? I have seen a couple of photos but that is it. How does it work out? weight is that a factor?
Just curious if anyone is using this set up regularly.

Never did actually run it this way but here are some photos. I think it would work just fine and provide lots of options. I just never had the need to haul that much using the HC as a "camp bag"

Thanks Brad. Is that a HC 4800 or HC 7000?
My dilemma is I have the HC and just bought the duplex wondering if I need to buy a camp bag.
Thanks again

7000. In that setup, I think there is over 10,000ci between the lid, nomad and HC. God help you if you need more space than that. :D

If you need a bit more volume with a HC, consider side or belt pockets. That will net you an additional 12-1500ci, and removable for day/spike work. Add in a guide lid and your over 92-9500ci.

Iver never seen the nomad run with a High camp before. I don't have the kifaru system yet, and have been doing my research to see if I want a nomad or rambler. I was pretty much set on the rambler until I saw this....LOL. Interesting option. Has aron done a video showing these two mated together? If not, can someone post up one so I can see how these two bags are attached to the duplex frame

The HC isn't actually attached to the frame. It is just supported by the cross straps, Grabit and compression straps. I don't think you can attach two packs to a frame at the same time without some modifications to one or both.

Colonel correct me if I'm wrong but you can attach the bottom of the HC to the bottom of the frame not covered by the nomad?

I would say you definitely could. And I think you could connect the side compression straps of the high camp to the vertical tab loops along the edges of the back panel of the nomad. I think with the grab-it, a lid, and the nomads wrap-around compression straps, this would be a pretty secure package.

Yeah, I'm sure you could. I was mostly talking about the sleeve that fits over the top of the frame that supports the bag.

Looks like a hc 4800 would be a great combo with the nomad for extended trips. Not quite as tall as the one pictured im guessing....but still plenty of room. Damn kifaru.....LOL. I always thought having lots of options would be a good thing. Now with the options available through kifaru...I cant make up my mind!
