Got to thinking about nock fit on the serving. How do yo know if its too tight or too loose? If its too tight does it affect arrow flight or tune?

It should snap onto the string, but once on, should be able to slide up and down the serving with very little or slight tension. You should also be able to twist it around the string and your peep shouldn’t twist. Most manufacturers nocks will fit well with a center string/serving at about .110” to .112” in diameter. To tight and it can definitely affect the tune and to loose is dangerous as it could come off during the draw and you may not know it.

Generally, nocks should slide on the serving with light finger pressure. If you have too really push them on and use a significant amount of pressure to slide them, too tight. If they just slide down the serving, too loose.

Beiter Hunter's will fix everything. I don't dare put an Easton nock on any new string ever.

Why no Easton and why Beiter? I personally dont use them but dont avoid them either. I prefer GT G nocks or Bohning F nocks. Not familiar w Beiter.

Easton nocks have always squared off my serving causing my peep to rotate when I clip them on. Beiter guarantees zero nock pinch and is the most consistent nock on the market. Many of the elite shooters of the world shoot Beiter as well.

ah...interesting. I can see how that would happen. I like the Bohning F nocks as they are rounded where they intersect the string serving which sounds similar to Beiter.
Thanks for sharing.
