How cold do the plug in coolers get?

I would think you could load that up with prefrozen meals and keep them frozen or partially frozen long enough to be safe.

Buy a 12v fridge and pre make all of your meals and freeze them in single serve containers then microwave them as needed. You can leave it in the hotel plugged in to wall outlet once you arrive. I've had one for 5 years and it works great. If you are in your vehicle all day you can pop your lunch in a "truckers microwave" and it will warm it up by lunch time.Screen Shot 2025-02-11 at 5.10.01 PM.png

I was in a similar situation last year where I flew out and drove up to my property in MO, but I did have a car. The hotel room had a small fridge and microwave plus I had a cooler from my place and access to unlimited free ice. I went to the local grocery store every couple days and lived on their frozen, microwavable meals. I know they are probably not to good for you but most were pretty decent.

I can get fat eating cold foods - summer sausage, banana bread, spaghetti Os cold, pork and beans cold, nice artisan bread and butter, cold kfc, sliced ham, sliced turnkey, sliced pastrami, cold pizza, canned little oranges, canned peaches, real peaches, apples, oranges, pears, grapes, celery sticks, carrot sticks, onion dip, chips, granola bars, cheese sticks, sliced cheese, salad stuff, yogurt, blueberries, granola, cereal, orange juice, bagels, bread and butter pickles, apple sauce, tuna, crackers, cold bread sticks, potato salad, deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, rotisserie chicken, cooked cold bacon, cooked cold sausage. Now I’m hungry. Lol

A good cooler on wheels will pay for itself quickly.

All in I save about $75-150 a week depending on the food options where I’m working by packing that first week then eating the way I currently am on the second. Not to mention the way you feel after 7 straight days of Zaxbys and Taco Bell.

Just remember. Pizza cooker is on full chooch as soon as you plug it in. There is no low setting. Takes a lil getting used to..

Looks good! Makes me think of the guys that keep a coffee maker hooked up to the generator, no reason you couldn’t do the same with this.

100%. Eating on the road will screw a guy up. Expecially if he is trying to save a few bucks.

I really wish I had had one back then.

Know a few truck drivers that got pretty good at cooking in these things...
