No baiting state

"if you're the hunter you claim...should be obvious..."

Whats with the condescending attitude man? Weren't you just asking for tips on hunting private land in a specific unit in KS?

This is why it's so easy for anti-hunters to convince non-hunters to pass their regulations. If you don't hunt the way someone else does, don't have the experience someone else does, don't use the same weapon, don't use the same caliber of weapon, etc. you're not a real hunter.
He's just saying that if you hunt, you'll figure it out. I wouldn't read much more into it.

Fair point, I probably just read into it too much. I'll leave it unedited for humility, but I apologize if I got it wrong.

Good attitude.

I also think it’s a matter that where it is legal, nearly everyone is baiting. I think that tends to diminish the effectiveness of any given bait station.

Where it is illegal, and not everyone is doing it, the rewards are very high for those who do it.

My neighbors put up an illegal deer feeder last summer. It’s visible from the road and it’s full of corn throughout the season. One of “my” doe herds now spend almost all their time around his feeder. Last fall, they moved their beds about 400 yards east, apparently to be closer to the corn. From August to January, the guy drives his side-by-side up to refill it in broad daylight and the deer watch him like they are pigs at a feedlot. This spring, he hasn’t been filling it, and they are back at their traditional bedding site.

Of the eight mature deer taken on my land last year, seven had corn in their bellies. None of the adjacent farms grow corn.
