Several years ago I purchased the NL Pure 12x42. To be honest I haven't been real happy with them. my biggest complaint is the focus is so fine that every time I bring them up I have to refocus which takes a few seconds because of how touchy the focus is. Constantly adjusting the focus is not what I want to be doing in a hunting situation. When they hit that sweet spot they're great glass although in low light its tough to find that sweet spot in the focus. So are these just not the binos's for me? anyone else have this problem?

I have not had this problem. The only issue I have had with my NL Pure 12x42s is I’m right at the outer limit of inter pupillary distance. Almost like my eyes are too wide for them. When I check the specs they don’t seem too different from my other glass. Typically takes me about 15 min of glassing to get used to it. Then I’m good. Maybe it’s also because I look through magnification every day and my eyes aren’t used to this type of “looking”

I also have a problem with the focus on my NL but mine are 10x. Every time I put them in bino harness the focus wheel is so easy to move it rubs and next time I pull them out they are out of focus. This drives me crazy if anyone has a fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Exactly. By the way I also have a Sako 75 in a Finnlight 270 WSM. Love it!

I have a 300WSM love the gun not very original anymore but great features was hoping someone was going to tell me there’s a tension screw or something on the focus knob wishful thinking I guess. Hoping over time it will get stiffer. I love the binoculars in every other way.

I have 8s and do not have this problem. I can pull them out of my bino harness and not have to adjust them anywhere from a couple hundred yards to about a 1000. That is the one thing that I really like about them.

Send them back into Swaro for a cleaning and mention the issue you are having.

I’ve had 4 different pairs of NLs and currently own 2. I would defineitly say that the main focus is what I would consider on the the looser side, although there isn’t any noticeable backlash. It’s the one thing so far I don’t like about them.

same. I’ve been wondering if there is a way to tighten the tension on the focus knob. They’re great but that knob is too smooth compared to the EL
