Anyone have the Nitecore HC65 and if so how do you like it? Is the red light bright enough to walk a trail at night?
It will be used for hunting mostly. I'd like one that has a usable red light (for walking in to my stands), puts off enough light that I can see a good ways with it when on white light (ATV rides at night and such) and has a built in recharge circuit. I'm considering the Nitecore HC65 and the Fenix HL60R, but am open to others that fit the bill.
I had a Princeton Tec Viz, which had a red light but it wasn't bright enough for me and I ended up giving it to my SIL.
I almost ordered the Fenix HL60R but I'm not sure how useful the red light will be at only 1 lumen. The HC65 kicks it up to 11 lumens and that may be enough walking on a trail at night, I'm not sure.
