Can you check both eye pieces are they smooth functioning or a bit gritty feeling especially the left side? Just wondering since I bought a used Nikon HG 10x42 not that long ago on this forum and noticed this wondering if it's normal thats all.

I'll check when I get back from hunting. I keep the eye cups down but haven't noticed anything unusual.
