Starting to lean towards the 4-16x50 atacr... But I think that fits the same concept youre talking about.I have a 3.5-15x50 nxs on my finnlight. It is the bees knees. Everything is covered. 3.5x in the timber and 10-15x for farther than 90% of people can shoot in open country. I shot my old 3-9 bdc to 6-7 hundred yards regularly on gongs. The 15x I easily good to 1200 not that I'd ever consider shooting at anything living at that range. If you hunt in the timber at all I'd go lower power. Just my .02
