Got a new seekins PH3 that I’d like to mount a scope to. I got a nightforce Shv in the mail yesterday. With the split pic rail it looks like it may not have enough room to mount properly.

I just had an old set of 1” rings as a mockup but I get my 30mm NF rings in Monday. So I’ll know more then.

Has anyone successfully mounted a 3-10x42 SHV on the new seekins rifle? Looks like it could be close depending on the rings used

I have mounted that scope on a rem 700 long action footprint gun, and it’s a very temperamental setup, but works. Ring width and ring height have to be just right. I tried seekins lows and the spacing worked but the the scope objective where it starts to flare out from 30mm hit the rail. Warne mountain tech lows are what I tried next and they worked as their “low” is higher than seekins. You don’t get much/any adjustability but where the scope landed was fine. Wish NF made that scope even a half inch longer as it would make mounting it a lot easier.

I’m not sure how wide the NF rings are. I’ll find out Monday. If they are thinner than these 1” rings I tested it on I think it will work.

I’m a fan of the ph3…:not a fan of the split pic rail tho

Fits perfect with the thinner rings.

Darn. I thought I was gonna have an excuse to use the Shv for another gun and buy and new one for the ph3

I shot the ph3 with my nx8 this weekend. I didn’t like how it mounted and I’m going with something else. I’d say what I’m replacing it with but I don’t need a bunch of shit from the RS hive mind lol.

Here’s the ring spacing on the Shv

It’s a good thing that it sits right where it should for me because there isn’t any adjustment
I love this gun but it needs a full rail. I’m assuming they split it to get under the 8lb mark
